Arshad is a fellow chartered accountant and has over 20 years of assurance experience in the big four firms and serving across industries such as the financial services sector, manufacturing/trading businesses, shipping and other services sectors.

As an audit partner at EY, Arshad led various audit engagements from start-ups to multi-jurisdictional complex entities. He has extensive financial services experience serving a variety of clients in banking and capital markets, wealth and asset management (hedge and private equity) and clients from start-ups to multi-billion dollar complexes including alternative investment fund managers, hedge funds, private equity funds, multi-jurisdictional fund structures, trust companies, large commercial banks and fund administrators.

Arshad has extensive experience in managing large teams and complex projects, accounting, governance, internal controls frameworks, private equity valuations and related professional services across various industries with a focus on the financial services sector.

He has extensive experience in working with clients located globally in various jurisdictions such as North America, the UK, Australia, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Middle East.

  • Audit and accounting, highly experienced in IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Extensive experience in the delivery of high-quality documentation and managing quality reviews conducted by regulatory bodies such as SEC, PCAOB, CIIPA, ICAEW, etc. Achieved the highest ratings in external quality reviews performed.
  • Governance, internal controls and corporate structures. •Internal audits, highly experienced in reviewing controls in place across all sections of the business and providing recommendations for improvements and best practices.
  • Experience in dealing with external auditors' regulators (US SEC, NFA, CIMA).
